PROCESS
To start this project off we were put into groups and
assigned our roles within the group. I was tasked with
designing the game (board and game pieces). When
designing this game it was around Christmas time so
we decided to theme, and there was no better theme
for a building block game than gingerbread. After the
gingerbread theme was decided I went on to the semi-comps
and made a few changes. We decided that the icing
on the pieces should be connected throughout the whole
section of green the pieces are on. From then I changed
the logo of the game to give it a more building block feel
vs. a friendly and bubbly feeling. We also decided that the
handouts should be able to fold into your pocket, so we
made the design into a brochure, with information on the
game how to play and how to get prizes on the backside
of the game area.
HOW THE GAME WORKS
Customers buy things from vendors/stores and
they get a special package with their purchase.
The package would contain tiles for the game.
The tiles are needed to build sections of the
Covent Garden map is provided when an area
is completed customers can go to that area to
collect their prize. Small sections get smaller,
instant prizes, bigger areas get bigger prizes
like a bike or new electronics, and completing
the whole map gives the customer a free trip to
Mexico.

With the promotion of the game, an app, website
and posters were made to promote the game.
The website, app and posters were made by my
other group members.
PROMOTIONAL STRATEGY
The promotional strategy for Build A Market is to, alongside all of the advertisements and handouts, have a large gingerbread house outside of the market. Ideally, the gingerbread house is outside of the market, so customers can very easily enter the market and begin to play. It will be decorated with the same designs as the branding, and there will be signage
